The project EVE Evolving Education came from an initiative from an international consortium made up of university research laboratories, industry and institutes specializing in medi- cal training and innovation: INRIA, IRCAD, the University of Strasbourg, the University of Twente, and the IHU-Strasbourg.

The consortium developed a prototype as a first application in flexible endoscopy creating the basis for further clinical applications that may benefit from learning remote simulation training.
